Dear Friends,
If you or someone you know feels undervalued or unrepresented in the workplace, it's important to understand your rights in Illinois.
That's why I’m pleased to partner with the Illinois Attorney General for a presentation on employee protections. Staff with the Attorney General's Workplace Rights Bureau will discuss minimum wage and overtime violations, workplace discrimination and more.
WHEN and WHERE: 5:30 p.m. Nov. 3 @ Rockford Public Library East Branch Community Room. 6685 E. State St.
Rockford United Labor also will be on hand to share its experiences representing organized workers who have sought and won accountability from their employers.
You don't know what you don't know. I'm confident you'll find this presentation worth your time and attention, and I encourage you to forward this message to anyone you think might benefit from a better understanding of their rights in the workplace under Illinois law.
Sincerely,
Steve Stadelman

The project also involves extending Crystal Parkway from Tripp Road to Genoa and will be completed in phases in summer of fall 2023 and early 2024.

Congratulations to Ethnic Heritage Museum on today's ribbon-cutting on the new brick walkway connecting the museum with its almost new gazebo and parking lot and with the historic Graham–Ginestra House, helping unify what is now known as Heritage Museum Park! Grants from the Community Foundation of Northern Illinois and the Kjellstrom Family Foundation helped make the walkway possible.
