Dear Friends,
We might not all have or ever have children, but we all have or had mothers. My own mom is, sadly, no longer with me. But I want to take this moment to express my deep gratitude to her and to the mother of my four grown chidlren for the special role they've played in our lives.
I hope everyone enjoys quality time with their moms this Sunday or at least a few quiet moments with cherish memories of their moms. In ways big and small, from our first to last breaths, moms occupy places deep in our hearts that words sometimes cannot adequately describe.
Warm wishes,

Stadelman helps secure $20 million for local sanitation upgrades
State Senator Steve Stadelman announced this week that Four Rivers Sanitation Authority in Winnebago County will be receiving more than $20 million in state funding for water infrastructure.
“This investment toward our infrastructure is part of the state’s ongoing efforts to provide water safety and to protect our communities,” Stadelman said. “The funds will be used to improve and ensure our water treatment plant is operating in a clean and functional way.”
Four Rivers Sanitation Authority will use the funds to replace primary settling tanks, pumps, filters and other equipment necessary to complete the project. The low-interest loan through the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency will help the sanitation authority comply with applicable regulations.
“These upgrades and replacements represent the steps Illinois is taking to protect our environment and the community as a whole,” Stadelman said. “I am happy to announce this project and underscore the progress we are making in Winnebago County.”
With interest rates of 1.11 percent for wastewater and drinking water projects, the loans are made possibly by the six-year Rebuild Illinois capital program. Click here for more information on the IEPAs revolving loan program.
